Digitalization presents companies at home and abroad with significant challenges.
FEMOTECH GmbH has developed an innovative field-installable connector system (fiber optic connectors based on LC and SC) that can be used for both blown and pulled or pushed installations, in order to accelerate fiber-optic rollout and thus promote digitalization.
Our connector systems eliminate the need for splicing, which saves time and costs during on-site installation. This enables installation teams to connect more housing units in the same amount of time, resulting in greater competitiveness and higher returns for your company.
The connector systems are used in the following network levels:
- NE3 – Fiber to the Building (FTTB)
- NE4 – Fiber to the Home (FTTH)
- NE5 – Fiber in the Home (FTTH
These connector systems ensure a continuous fiber-optic connection from the central office through the distribution box all the way to the end customer’s home.
Advantages of the FEMOTECH connector systems:
- Connectors available in LC or SC versions (variants: multimode, single-mode, and APC)
- No splicing required
- Cables including connectors can be pulled, pushed, or blown in
- Termination, grinding, and polishing of all connector types can be done with standard equipment
- Blowing distances > 300 m can be achieved with a microduct (OD 7 mm, ID 4 mm)
- After the cables are blown or pulled in, the connectors can be easily completed by adding the inner and outer housing and the locking mechanism
